We provide complete general & cosmetic services for the Cramerton, NC Community:
Preventative & Periodontal Services
Depending on the condition of your gums we will recommend a preventative treatment/cleaning (for healthy gums) or a type of periodontal therapy (for patients with gingivitis or gum disease) and will customize an ongoing hygiene schedule.
Marsh Laser
Marsh Laser provides advantages over traditional film including significantly less radiation to the patient, the ability to enhance images for diagnosis, and better communication with colleagues and insurance companies.
Digital Impressions
Digital impressions avoid the use of uncomfortable and messy putty impression trays. This allows for extremely accurate impressions, higher quality outcomes, less chair time, and an improved overall experience.
Dental Implants
In most cases, Dental Implants offer a far superior solution for replacement of missing teeth than Bridges and Partial/Complete Dentures. Doctors Duren and Marsh have trained extensively in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.
Veneers
When optimal aesthetics is desired, Cosmetic Crowns and/or Veneers may be an option. Utilizing models of your teeth, pictures, and wax-ups/mock-ups to plan your treatment, you will have a vision for your new smile before even starting.
Dental Crowns
Incases of fractures, cracks, previous dental restoration, or significant loss of tooth structure, a dental crown/cap is recommended to restore the tooth. We use the latest technology and highest quality materials and laboratories.
Dental Fillings
We use only the best materials available for routine dental fillings and do not use dental amalgam as we believe that modern adhesive dentistry provides more functional and more aesthetic options for dental restorations.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is a way to replace one or two missing teeth. A bridge is essentially two or more crowns with a false tooth bonded to them. Bridges leave a lot to be desired functionally and many times dental implants are a better treatment option.
Dental Sleep Medicine
Your overall health depends on your quality of sleep. We provide oral appliances designed to help with snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. At Duren & Marsh, we pride ourselves on offering state-of-the-art sleep dentistry to our patients.
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is a treatment that removes a damaged or dead nerve and replaces it with an inert material. In most cases we recommend a crown be placed soon after a root canal in order to maintain the strength of the tooth.
Occlusal Guards/Occlusal Splints/Nightguards
Nighttime grinding or clenching of your teeth often lead to a recommendation of a custom occlusal guard to avoid teeth wear, muscle tightness or pain associated with the jaw joints (the Temporomandibular Joint or “TMJ”.
Athletic Mouthguards
A custom athletic guard for individuals involved in impact sports is recommended. A custom athletic guard can be much more comfortable and more protective than an over-the-counter mouthguard.
What to Expect During Your First Visit:
Your first visit is important to us because this is where we learn about your specific dental needs and create a plan to help improve your overall oral hygiene. Here’s what you can expect from your first visit with the Williams Dental team:
- Comprehensive oral exam
- Review of your medical & dental history
- Dental x-rays
- Digital pictures
- Examination of your jaw joints
- Examination of the hard and soft tissues in your mouth
- Oral cancer screening
After this information is gathered and some preliminary assessment is made, all effort will be made to complete a dental cleaning at this appointment. Depending on the presence and severity of any periodontal disease (gum disease) a more thorough cleaning may be necessary and may need to be scheduled for another visit.
