Your first visit will consist of a comprehensive oral exam. This exam will help us determine your overall oral health, what services you may need, and compose a preventative dental plan.
After we go through your medical and dental history and answer any questions you may have, we will begin the oral exam. This exam will consist of:
- Dental X-rays
- Digital pictures of your mouth
- Examination of your jaw joints and other associated muscles
- Analysis of the mouth’s hard & soft tissues
- Oral cancer screening
If complex treatments are needed, we will recommend study models to assist Dr. Marsh in the planning & treatment of your case.
Once all this information is gathered, The Duren & Marsh team will make all efforts to complete a dental cleaning. If there is presence of periodontal disease (gum disease) a more thorough cleaning may be necessary and may need to be scheduled for another visit.
